Here is a selection of shots of my month long stay at this open plan space for artists. It was challenging, frustrating, enlightening and best of all, got me painting again. The most rewarding element was to be in a professional space where I could 'go to work' with no distractions.
What a lovely creative photos, when I saw this I get really “hungry” to started work by myself. I have had two weeks off, so now it’s time to start up some “new” things… Keep up the good work and good luck!
"Mandy Prowse studied painting and printmaking at Maidstone College of Art. She explores natural and human forms and the interconnectedness of all things. Themes in her work relate to birth, mortality and metamorphosis. Her altered books are minimalistic and organic combining a modern aesthetic with an almost Victorian touch. If you told me these books were 100 years old I wouldn’t think twice about it.”
