George Davey was sentenced to one month's hard labour in Wandsworth Prison in 1872 for stealing two rabbits. He was ten years old.

What is it about these photos that is so fascinating and compelling?! I could trawl my way through the archive for hours quite happily. Do you see their stories played out through the look in their faces as well? It's just amazing. Thanks for the great link. K
