Wire tales

Old wire dog muzzles found at the car boot fair in Chiswick today. I have always been drawn to things made of wire - I think it is the linear quality that I love. The feeling of drawing come to life. I was thinking of how I could use these in a sculpture but now they are on the wall - they are quite perfect as they are.

Glass by Annie White 2005 fused with copper wire.

3 glass figures by Annie White 2005. These figures are cast glass, with copper wire entwined inside the glass.

Annie is a wonderful glass artist - this is some of her work from 2 years ago. The copper wire leaves the most amazing residue on the glass from the heat of the kiln. Annie is currently a student and will be showing her new work later in the year.

Yep, those muzzles are perfect as they are. How could anyone improve on such delicate, symbolic objects? A real sculpture of 'silence'.

Lovely - I like that as a title Robin.
