The House of Illustration
At the Dulwich Picture Gallery I saw a catalogue for a previous exhibition, organised in conjunction with The House of Illustration, What Are You Like? , taken from a Victorian game of describing yourself with images of your favourite things. The House of Illustration is a work in progress - it was set up by artist and illustrator, Quentin Blake in 2002 and it will be a museum of illustration, both British and International opening in Kings Cross in 2011. Made in Hastings
Sadly I did not get time to have a really good look around the Country Living Fair but I was very happy to meet some of the people who run Made in Hastings which is a shop that I have been planning to visit for some time. They had some lovely things on their stall.
Sophie Azimont's paper rabbits were wonderful and I did end up bringing one home with me. I also saw Linda Bloomfield with her lovely ceramics and thought this company was of interest, Vintage Inspiration.
