A few things that caught my eye in Hammersmith this afternoon. This very charming and beautifully dressed young man called Andre agreed to have his photograph taken, outside the second hand clothing store, Traid, textile recycling for aid and international development. A Sartorialist moment :)Not only does Nathaniel Kassel ride a bike and make films he also sews, takes photos, draws & paints, designs shirts and writes. I bought myself an old fashioned Dutch style bicycle - I have always wanted one of these - ever since a trip to Amsterdam in the early 8o's. Having no front brake and only a back-pedal brake is taking a bit of getting used to but it is a joy to ride. 
I have been looking after this flower filled garden for 2 weeks, it has been lovely to have a garden outside the back door, instead of a bicycle ride away. My friend has filled her garden with such unusual and beautiful plants and lots of delicious tomatoes. And a sure sign that Autumn is on its way - lots of spiders.

Mariam Aryai Rivera was at the Bust Craftacular on Saturday. Mariam is based in New York and this was her first visit to London. Mariam makes Curious Jewelry for the Nostalgic Enchanted. I purchased these unusual earrings, which were displayed on Mariam's beautiful stall on a Victorian photograph. I have substituted my portrait of a bearded gentleman by photographer Henry Death. Mariam has an etsy shop, The Hand of Fatima.
It was lovely to see my friends Botkin and Galliers of Rescued & Revived Ltd at the Bust Craftacular. These lovely ladies only started stitching together a few months ago and they have been going down a storm with their beautiful cushions, picnic rugs and throws. I cannot believe how much they have achieved in such a short space of time.
