Workshop at The London Art Book Fair
The books we made at the workshop.
Artists' book by one of the participants at today's workshop.
I went to a workshop organised by Kaleid Editions and led by artist Jonathan Ward at The London Art Book Fair today and made my first artists' book. It was such an inspiring workshop.
A very happy day. I will post some more pictures of the book once it is finished.
The London Art Book Fair

Origin
Origin, the London craft fair has moved from Somerset House to Spitalfields market this year. I was lucky enough to win a ticket to last nights private view on Claire Loder's blog. It was a lovely evening with lots of inspiring things to see and people to meet. Thankyou Claire! The fair continues until 29th September and the entrance fee is £10.London Design Festival

Open House
Open House London, the capital's greatest architectural showcase, takes place this weekend, 18 & 19 September 2010.The initiative is a simple but powerful concept: hundreds of great buildings of all types and periods open up their doors to all, completely for FREE. It is a truly city-wide celebration of the buildings, places and neighbourhoods where we live, work and play, and is your opportunity to get out and get under the skin of London's amazing architecture.

Robin Grey
Strangers With Shoes is the second album by Robin Grey. It is a beautiful collection of songs, Robin asked if I would like to review the CD - my best recommendation is to go and have a listen yourself (not being much of a one for words) unlike Mr Grey who most surely is. You can listen here.

Detail of work by Nicholas Quenzer, Wimbledon College of Art MA show"This research is concerned with order and disorder. In a sense this is a chicken and egg scenario – which comes first is not of concern, more so, that regardless of an implemented order it will find a way to become disordered of its own accord." Fiona Banner
Fiona Banner at Tate Britain until 3rd January 2011."I remember long sublime walks in the Welsh mountains with my father, when suddenly a fighter plane would rip through the sky, and shatter everything. It was so exciting, loud and overwhelming; it would literally take our breath away. The sound would arrive from nowhere, all you would see was a shadow and then the plane was gone.
At the time harrier jump jets were at the cutting edge of technology but to me they were like dinosaurs, prehistoric, from a time before words." – Fiona Banner
